Great Weekend!!!!!

So it all started with my Dr.'s appt. on Friday. I went in for my 31week appt. (yep, can you believe we are there already?!?!?!) and the Dr. said everything is looking great. Baby Jack's head is down and he's just hanging out in there getting bigger & bigger. My pregnancy brain finally allowed me to remember some questions I wanted to ask & I was able to get some answers which was great. I also let them know that I am definitely NOT against c-sections (actually would rather that!) but so far I will not be having one of them unless Jack decides when the time comes that he would rather stay in there. I guess we'll wait & see what his plans are. I gained another 5lbs =( but that only puts me at a total of 22lbs so far which everyone else says is good so I will have to take their word for it. Hopefully I will not gain a ridiculous amount more in the next 8 or 9 weeks, fingers crossed! The Dr. also said that I now start going to see them every 2 weeks! I'm so excited because it means we are that much closer to meeting Jack!!! =)

Well, Saturday was the best because it was my SHOWER!! Thank you sooooo much to everyone for coming and making it such a special and great day! Jack is now outfitted with the cutest clothes until he's at least 3 I think!! He also got a ton of other great stuff. I can't wait until he's here to put him in all of it, play with it, and have him enjoy it all! I really had a great time seeing everyone and being able to chat with you all. I just wish the day hadn't gone by so fast. Jack is so lucky (and so am I) to have you all in his life!!

Yesterday (Sunday) was fun too! My mom was here from FL so we hung out for a little bit before she had to go back to the airport and head back down south for some warmer weather. While here though we were able to go have some NY pizza which she hasn't had in about 2 years so that was good too =) Then we went to dinner with family last night and I ate until I thought they were going to have to roll me out of the restaurant. What can I say, Jack made me do it!!! Now I know why I gained 5lbs in 3 weeks!!!

Well I guess that's long enough for now. I will post some pictures (or a link to pictures) from the shower as soon as I get them uploaded and get them from other people. Thank you all again!!!!

Officially 7 months!!!

Can you believe it? Where has the time gone? As of tomorrow (Saturday) I will be officially 7 months, 28 weeks and have only 12 weeks left to go =) I am so excited and really can't wait to meet our little man. Joe has already begun talking to him and told him about the March Madness scores and making sure he "knows" what is going on out here in the sports world, lol, did we expect any less?

Well today was my 28 week appointment and I had my Rhogam shot which really wasn't as bad as I had made it out to be in my head and actually just pinched a tiny bit but didn't really hurt. Jack's heartbeat was measuring at about 149-150 and the Dr. said she thinks that he is head down and just hanging out with his butt up on my right side, lol. I knew it! I kept telling Joe that Jack was mooning everyone...seriously, can he get any more like Joe before he's even born?!?!

As for me the Dr. said I have a nice belly (YAY!!) and I have only gained 2lbs in the last 3 weeks which I was so happy & proud of because I swore it was more, especially since my taste buds have decided they like Pillsbury chocolate chip cookies again! I now go back to the Dr. in 3 weeks and then after that I will start going every 2 weeks...I can't believe we are at that point already! So scary all of this and yet so exciting at the same time!!!!!!

No new belly pics yet but hopefully I will have some by the end of the weekend and will post then =)

Coming home outfit =)

I don't know how but I completely forgot about this! We have Jack's coming home outfit!!! I'm so excited and can't wait to see him in it!! Of course you know with me & Joe as parents he has all of the coordinating pieces too because we couldn't have him not matching! Here it is:

Almost Spring?

So Spring is officially here but it sure doesn't feel that way yet! I can't wait for the flip flop weather!!

I never posted a couple of weeks ago after I went to the dr., but everything went well. Surprise, surprise I gained more weight, lol, the most between appointments so far but i hear that's what happens around this time now. Baby's heartbeat sounded great too but I didn't get an exact number of it this time.

So, I hope everyone's Easter was great and that no one ate too many chocolate bunnies :) We had a good quiet one at home so that was nice because i am just getting bigger & bigger by the day! I went on Saturday morning to take that gross & disgusting Glucose Tolerance test and that stuff they make you drink just isn't right, it's way too sweet. Hopefully I passed that one and I won't have to be tortured by taking the 3 hour one. Next up I have to go to the Dr. again next Friday (4/4) for my Rhogam shot and then they promised that would be the end of all my testing & needles until baby's arrival =)

Daylight savings begins...

and let me tell you, although I love the fact that we have more sunlight and we're closer to getting some warm weather, I hate the fact that we lose an hour sleep! I don't know about everyone else but these days I just need every minute of sleep I can get!

Well, Baby Farley's crib & dresser are all set up and they look great!! Here are a couple of pictures of them:

Aren't they great?! Now I am able to put the clothes away that he have gotten him already and I don't have to look at the bags all over the place!

This weekend was kind of low key. Joe & I hung out on Saturday and did some stuff we needed to get done and then he had to work all day Sunday so you know what that means...oh you don't? Well it means that I made a way too long to-do list for myself to keep busy and of course over did it. I woke up (well he woke me by calling because he thought I was up by then, which I usually am) and finished my HW then ran to the mall to exchange a pair of pants, then the pet store to get fish stuff (they keep dying, I must be doing something wrong!), then to the craft store and home again. I did laundry (a lot of it!), made sauce & meatballs, made my own stuffed shells =) and then put shelves up in the laundry room for Baby's stuff. Wow, I'm tired all over again from writing all that I did!

Ok, well that's enough from me for now. Tonight I plan on going home and painting the wall letters that spell out Baby's name for over his crib and I'll post pictures of them when they are done. OOOO...and we have a Dr.'s appt. this Friday so I will post again maybe this weekend.

Our Eventful Weekend!

I left work last Friday so excited to go home and pick up our dresser/changing table and we had planned to order our crib and get the mattress (thanks to Uncle Mike & Aunt Nicole!!!), well Babies R Us had other plans for us! We got there, picked up the dresser/changing table and then proceeded to ask if we can order the crib to which we were told that they did not have it in stock. I then asked if we could order it for when it came in and they said we couldn't because the main warehouse did not have it either and they had no idea when it would be coming in =( We went home with our dresser and I was so upset thinking I was going to have to find a new crib. I looked all over online and found nothing I liked at all, this was my favorite one and we were determined to get it.

Fast forward to Saturday, Joe & I had planned to go to Queens to check out Sukons and see the stroller we want. We go there and (by the way they are soo overpriced in EVERYTHING!)the guy tells me that the stroller we want is being discontinued because they are coming out with a new model, I'm batting a thousand at this point huh?! Ok, so we leave there, and Nik & Justine you will appreciate this, we went to Middle Village to get pizza from Rosa's and cookies & bread from Catalano's (both were soo yummy!!). We then went to Babies R Us in Whitestone on our way home and surprise surprise they don't have our crib either. I had the guy check all the BRU's he could find, all over LI, Staten Island & Brooklyn and no one had it. Joe & I got in the car and I was about ready to cry. Joe said he would drive anywhere to get it so we started calling CT and NJ and no one had it in any of those stores either! So, we started to drive home and I said I would call FL if I had to and have them ship it. Well we got home and I started searching for stores online and found that there were a couple of other BRU's that were a little further north than us and I started to call them. Guess what...we found it!!!!! We jumped in the car & drove up to Wappingers Falls (about an hour & 10 minutes north of us) and got our crib. I am soo excited. We put it up on Sunday and it looks so great!

What a weekend huh? I really thought we would have to settle on another crib all together but we lucked out! I will take pictures and update with the crib & dresser soon but YAY, now Baby Farley will have a place to sleep!!!!

Wow, that was a long blog post, I'll try to keep them a little shorter from now on, this one was just hard to do that with =)

Dresser/Changing Table

Almost 2 weeks ago Joe & I went and ordered baby's dresser/changing table and we just got the call yesterday that it is in. I am so excited because I have bags of clothes lined up against the wall that I will now be able to put away =) We are going tomorrow night to pick it up so I will take pictures then, but for now here is a picture of a similar one (Babies R Us doesn't have my exact one online).
