Jack's First Christmas!

We made it!! I finally finished shopping the weekend before Christmas but didn't finish wrapping until the night before Christmas Eve. The great thing this year was that since Jack is only 6 months old I was able to not only shop with him right there but also wrap everything right in front of him and yet it was still a big surprise when he opened them =) Next year it's going to be a little harder and there will be a lot of hiding gifts in the attic, haha.

Christmas Eve was a lot of fun. We went out to dinner this year which was so much better because there was no clean up for us. Then we all came back here to the house to exchange gifts, have dessert & play with Jack. Jack did great at dinner, even took a little nap so he could open gifts when we got home. He loves to rip open gifts and pull bows off of the gifts and I guess he liked the gifts themselves too.

Here are a few pictures from the Christmas Eve & Christmas Day:

Jack's 1st Snow Storm!

It started snowing here this past Friday and continued through til Saturday afternoon. Joe & I ran out Friday morning, bundled Jack in his snow suit and finished up our Christmas shopping (it feels so good to finally be done!). He looked so cute in his snow suit, like a big marshmallow! Later Friday night Joe was going outside to clean off his car for work the next day so Jack & I decided to join him outside and take a few pictures. Here are a few pictures from the 1st snow storm of Jack's life =) He wasn't too sure what to make of it, I think he's more like mommy & daddy and isn't a huge fan of the cold!

6 months...where has the time gone?

It's official, I am now the mommy to a 6 month old boy! Where has the time gone? My little boy suddenly doesn't seem so little anymore, he sits up, stands holding on to things if you set him like that, babbles, 'talks', eats fruits, veggies, cereal and soon yogurt! He is still teething but those damn teeth are so stubborn and have yet to break through. I am hoping it will be any day now, stay tuned for that!

We started a sippy cup today with a little water but he doesn't seem all that interested in it just yet. He held it with both hand like a big boy, brought it to his mouth, we cheered him on and then he giggled and thought it was more of a toy so he started to shake it (good thing I bout a no-spill one that is true to it's description!), hold it with one hand over the side of his highchair and then dropped it on the floor. I guess we'll try again tomorrow =)

The best news of all is that Jack is growing very well (like we really had any reason to be concerned..have you seen his daddy???). He had his 6 month appointment today and he is in the 90th percentile for height & weight. Our big boy weighed in at 20lbs 4oz and is 27.5 inches long. He still has a small (well average) head though so that's good =) I can't get over it. I knew he was a big boy and bought a scale for him because I thought so but wow, it's official, my once peanut is not so little anymore. Soon enough he'll be asking for the car keys and some money to go get gas and won't come back for hours and then he'll really be like daddy (if you know us you'll know that that is what Joe used to tell his parents when we first started dating). If any one knows how to make time stand still for just a little while I would love to know the secret so please share!

Jack meets Santa!!

Sorry this is so late already. Jack got to meet Santa last weekend and it was so fun! I was joking around with Joe before I went and said 'oh, poor Santa, Jack will probably wind up pulling his beard or something'. Well I guess I know my boy because as soon as I put Jack on Santa's lap he grabbed a hold of the poor man's beard and it was a real beard! Santa had to pry Jack's hand off of his beard but he was a great Santa and just smiled right along with Jack. As always Jack pleased everyone by laughing and smiling and just being his jolly little self! Here is his picture with Santa. We went with friends too so here is a picture of Jack, his buddy Matthew and Santa. I think Jack was so happy because he knows how much Santa will be bringing him this year and he just can't wait!!! (oh I keep forgetting...when you see pictures on the page, if you click on them they will open bigger in a new window) =-)

Christmas Time!!!!

I love this time of year. It seems that people are in better moods, the air has a different smell to it and it's just a happier time all around (for the most part). This year it's even better because it's Jack's first Christmas!! I know he doesn't get the whole Christmas thing yet but seeing that he is so alert, playful and in to things I am sure Christmas will be a blast this year. He can sit up on his own so opening presents should be fun. I have a feeling though that he will like the boxes the gifts come in and the wrapping paper they are wrapped with a lot more than the actual gifts this year. Either way it will be a lot of fun to watch him as he takes it all in. Hopefully soon we will have our tree up and we will get to watch him as he stares in amazement at the lights on the tree and try and grab the ornaments off as we hold him near it.

Jack went for his Christmas pictures last Monday and then Tuesday we had our own at home photo shoot(which came out pretty good if I must say so myself). Here are some of my favorites from both shoots:

December already?!?!

Where has this year gone? Santa will be here in 24 days and it feels like if I blink to long those days will fly right past me. Jack had his Christmas & 6 month (2 weeks early) pictures taken today and as soon as I pick them up on Wednesday I will be sure to post them. He was so good for the pictures despite the awful sleep we had last night. Can I make a request for Jack for Christmas now? All he wants for Christmas is his 2 front teeth!!! hahaha, I had to through that in there.

Well since there's not too much to write I wanted to share a video of Jack jumping in his jumperoo. As most of you know it's his very favorite thing to do and it's so much fun to watch him go to town in this. Oh and he thought me saying hi to him while he was in it was very funny, his giggle is the best! Enjoy...

ok, and one more because he is just too cute =) Here he is talking to me during our morning sesame street time a few weeks ago:

Jack's 1st Thanksgiving =)

Yesterday was Jack's 1st Thanksgiving and it was so nice. We went in to the city to Uncle & Aunt Mary's for Thanksgiving dinner and it was fun to see everyone and see how Jack reacted to everyone. He is such a ham so as long as people were saying hi to him and smiling he was smiling back and giggling, just being his regular happy baby self. He is really so much fun these days and his personality comes through more and more every day. He ate dinner after we did (since he was napping while we ate) and polished off a container or peas AND a container of sweet potatoes with out blinking an eye! What can I say...my boy likes to eat =)

Here are a couple of pictures from jack's 1st Thanksgiving as well as a link to a whole bunch more!

So much to be Thankful for!

As I type this I am sitting in bed with Jack laying next to me watching Sesame Street...does it get better than this? Thanksgiving is tomorrow and normally I am in to the whole Thanksgiving with the family, getting together and eating but this year it is so much more. This year I am realizing that I have so much to be thankful for and I really am. We have seen our ups and downs the last few years but this year has been amazing! Since last Thanksgiving so much has changed...Joe has a new position and new hours at work that he really seems to like, I have gone back to work, quit and found another job that allows me to be home a lot more with my little guy and then of course there is Jack! He has brought so much to our lives and we are thankful for everything we have with him.

It's funny, people say babies change your life, your world, your being and boy are they right! I can't even remember what life was like before Jack and I don't even want to. The nights of staying up late to watch TV and sleeping in in the morning are long gone and I couldn't be happier. Picking up and running to the store for something quick is no longer and yet I wouldn't have it any other way. Jack has brought us a whole new happiness that we could never have imagined before. Watching him grow and learn is the best. He now watches where you go when you walk away from him for a second and has a huge smile when you come back to play with him.

I plan on taking a whole bunch of pictures tomorrow of Jack in his Thanksgiving outfit and posting them here by the weekend so check back then...Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Pictures & Videos...

As promised here is a link to new pictures of Jack. He is getting so big I just can't take it. He makes me smile and laugh all the time. Being a mom is just getting more and more rewarding every day and I truly feel like this has been the best thing I have ever done with my life! He smiles at me when he wakes up and snuggles with me when he's tired. I mean really, does it get any better than that?!

Ok, I won't ramble on too much because I really could go on and on about him. Here is a video of him standing, holding on to the table of course but standing none the less!

also here is a link to his most recent pictures:

My not so little boy...

While Jack naps I figured I would update his blog a little. Let's see...what's new...well I got on the scale with Jack the other day and it said that he now weighs...are you ready....18 lbs!!!! WOW! I am wondering how accurate it is but I guess we'll have to wait and see next month at his 6 month appointment. I guess we can credit the 3oz of formula that goes in to his morning breakfast of oatmeal, rice cereal or barley (depending on the day) and the full container of stage 1 veggies that he eats for dinner. Most days while eating dinner I have to sing to him in order to get him to concentrate and eat nicely. His favorite song seems to be 'The Wheels on the Bus', he smiles and opens wide for his veggies, it's the cutest thing. I tried 'The Itsy Bitsy Spider' but apparently he's like momma and doesn't like bugs much!

Another new one for him is that he can sit up all on his one. Well, he can't get that way on his own but if we put him down sitting he can sit and play with toys for at least 5 minutes (sometimes longer) and it's so fun to watch. I have started to put pillows around him in case he topples over and let him play with toys on his own and he loves it! He has made a few new friends too, we introduced him to Tickle Me Elmo and Tickle Me Cookie Monster and he loves them both. He laughs at them and talks to them and it's the cutest thing. I took a video last night and will post it as soon as I get it uploaded.

I think that's all the updates for now really. I will be uploading new pictures as soon as I can (and videos) and will post when they are available. Until then here are just a couple of new ones:

Squash was a success!!

Not that it's a huge surprise but Jack loves squash! We tried it as his very first veggie tonight and he loved it, he ate the whole container with no problem. I don't really foresee any problem with him and food, he seems to love when it's time to sit down and eat. We will try the squash for a few more days to make sure all is well with it and then we will be on to the next one, either carrots or green beans I'm thinking =)

Not too much else to update here. Everyone is doing well on the home front, my last day of work in the city is Wednesday and I couldn't be happier about that!

Ok, off to bed for me now since the boys are already there. I will update again in the next day or two with new pictures of Jack eating & sitting...which he is getting very good at (see above picture!).

So many things changing

I started back to work about 3 weeks ago and for all my other fellow moms you know just how hard that first day & week back to work are. Well being back wasn't what I thought it would be. I wasn't welcomed back in the same manner as I left there. Being that I was already not happy going back and having to be so far away from my little boy every day, this manner that I was 'welcomed' back in made my decision much easier for me. I started searching all the job sites plus Craigslist (thanks to Kelly for that suggestion) and submitting my resume to every job that I thought would be better for me.

I wound up with 2 interviews for this past Wednesday both at offices about 15 minutes from home. The first was not for me, seemed a little shady, kind of like an office that would be there one day and then not the next. The next seemed like such a great deal from the get go and then after the interview it seemed even better. This is a part-time job that would have me working 5 days a week but only 4 hours a day. This would allow me to be closer to home, work and still be home with Jack in the mornings and nights.

I waited all the rest of the day and then I got the phone call...I got the job!! I am so happy! This is definitely a job that I can do, a place where I believe I will be happy and a schedule that will be best for me right now. Now the hard part, I have to leave my current job. I have been there for 9.5 years, through losing my dad, my wedding & now my baby. It is time for me to leave now though.

As for the other things that are changing, Jack is growing up before my very eyes! He is starting to sit a little. He can't get himself in this position yet but he is starting to be able to hold himself in a sitting position more and more every day. He can only do it for maybe a minute or 2 so far but I think he'll be sitting all on his own in no time.

For food he had 2 full weeks of rice cereal and really seemed to like it and do well on it. We started Oatmeal this week and he likes this one even more than the rice cereal. He opens his mouth wider and wider and 'yells' at me if I don't feed him fast enough! Late next week I think we are going to start a vegetable and I can't wait for that. I think he is just going to like food more and more as he tries new things.

So it looks like this is a much needed change for me and a I am looking forward to it =)

Happy Halloween!!!

As I write this it is 7:45am the day after Halloween and Jack is asleep on me, probably because he slept so bad last night that he is exhausted now! He was seriously up every hour last night! All the rest of the week he was sleeping anywhere from 6.5-8.5 hours straight and then all of a sudden last night came and he didn't want to sleep more than an hour at a time and the hour that he did sleep he was in bed with me. Oh well, I guess I'll have to just say that this was one bad night and hopefully tonight will be better again =)

On the other hand, yesterday was Jack's very first Halloween! It was so fun dressing him up and taking him outside to a couple of the neighbors. His costume was bought for him even before he was born on the day we found out he would be a boy. Joe had been eyeing the costume forever and wanted it so badly if we were having a boy. Here are a few pictures of Jack from Halloween:

Our Fun Weekend

It was so nice to be home with Jack for 3 days after the work week I had. Hanging out with him is just the best ever! We had a fun fall weekend full of pumpkin picking & apple picking, well we tried to apple pick anyway, but we were a little late this year and so we didn't get too many.
Here are a couple of pictures from the pumpkin patch (if you click on a picture it will open bigger):

My little big boy!!!

I can't believe I forgot to post this..bad, bad mommy!! Jack went to the Dr. last Monday (10/13) and he is just about as big as I thought he would be =) He is now 4 months old, weighs 15lbs 4oz and is 25 1/4 inches long...that's a long way from the 6lb 9oz peanut he once was, haha. He continues to grow and amaze us every day. He "talks" to us all the time, grabs at everything, constantly has his fingers & his fist in his mouth and is just so much more fun now. Oh, and the best yet, he east cereal now, rice cereal and he seems to love it. Which is really no surprise seeing that he is a Farley boy, haha.

Next up he gets to try some fruits & vegetables at the end of the month =) I'm sure that is going to be very fun!

Jaime

I survived!!!

I had my first week back to work and I would like to say it was good but that would be a lie. It was so hard to leave him, especially that first day, and then I did not have the best first day at work either. I think that unfortunately I will now be looking for a new job closer to home and maybe more of a part-time deal. Wish me luck and send good vibes my way that I find something & soon!!

As far as my boy goes he had an awesome week! He got to spend two days with Grandma and two days with Daddy. Lucky for them he was on his best behavior too, he napped, ate, played, was just his all around awesome self!

So for now I can say I survived and that's about it. Hopefully week two brings new job opportunities so that I don't have to be in a place I don't want to be for too long.

The end is drawing near

I have 2 more days (after today) until I return back to work and I am trying to enjoy every last second with my little guy but it's hard because every time I look at him I want to cry thinking about all the things I will miss when I am at work and not home with him. I think about his smiles and his "talking" all day, the way he feels when he falls asleep on me for his naps, just everything. Because of this I have started on a mission...to find a job that pays decently and will allow me to work from home full time. I can't imagine being away from him 4 days a week but I also know that I need to work in order for us to thrive as a family, so my search has begun. If anyone knows of any company that does stay at home work please pass along the info =)

Jack and I were up early this morning so we ran out to the mall to get some stuff for momma to return to work wearing. Now that I am back in my pre-pregnancy weight (actually 2lbs less than before) it was nice to get a few new things to wear =) I now of course have to try them on and see what exactly fits because as we all know, being down to the weight doesn't mean the body is the same way/shape that it was before. I would have tried the stuff on while I was out but a baby in a dressing room doesn't really work out too well!

Jack's 4 month Dr.'s appointment is on Monday and I'm excited to see what his height & weight are at this point. Everyone that sees him can't get over the size of him and how he is growing and neither can we! I have gotten on the scale with him a few times but not sure I believe what it says for him because it seems a little large...we shall see. I will keep everyone updated.

Jaime

My last week =(

I feel like it was yesterday that I was at work with them asking me not to come in anymore because it looked like I was going to pop at any second...little did we know that the day they said that to me would be my last day and Jack would make his entrance in to the world the next day. Where have the last 4 months gone? I can't believe that a week from right now I will be getting my stuff together to head back to work =(

I guess I am one of the lucky ones, my mother-in-law will be watching Jack 2 of the days here at home, Joe will be home with him 2 days and then the 5th day I will be home with him, yep, I have been lucky enough to only be going back 4 days a week. As great as that all sounds it still hurts and kills me that I won't be with my boy all day every day. =( I know I'm not the first to ever have to leave a baby to go back to work and that others have it worse but I am just not handling this well at all. I am only thinking how awful it will be to leave for work that morning and how hard it is going to be ='( Ok, now that I have myself in tears all over again I will end this post here. Please pray that this week will go by nice & slow for me. I will be enjoying and savouring every last moment with my precious boy this last week at home and will of course be taking a million pictures to bring and put all over my cubicle!

Oh wait, one more thing, how could I forget? I took Jack to have his 4month pics taken since we never went for 3 month pictures due to his meltdown that day. He will be 4 months this coming Sunday so here they are:

So much going on in the life of Baby Jack =)

Well we are back from FL for almost 2 weeks now and there are lots of things going on in Jack's little world. First he has 2 new cousins... 3 1/2 months old and already has 2 cousins younger than him! Much to everyone's amazement the Ladato girls continue to have boys! Everyone said that we are 3 girls therefor we will have girls as well and boy were they wrong! Between the 3 of us we now have 6 boys and Jenna remains the only girl =) Who knows though, maybe Jack will have a little sister one day.

Next up Jack will be 4 months old in just 2 weeks. How can this be? How can my little itty bitty baby be such a bog boy already? Joe & I were using the Wii Fit one day and decided to get on the scale with Jack...well here I was thinking he was probably about 13lbs at this point. Wii Fit doesn't say that though, it says he weighs 15lbs!!! yep, that's right, 1-5! It's no wonder though since he is up to eating 6oz five times a day! We go back to the Dr. on 10/13 and we'll know for sure then if the Wii Fit is right (I think it is).

Last but not least is the saddest news of all...I have to go back to work =( Exactly 2 weeks from today I will be sitting at my desk in the city probably crying and wishing I was home with my boy. I am really lucky to have been able to stay home with him for 4 months (or it will be 4 months anyway) so I am thankful for that but it is going to be so hard to leave him. I knew this was coming and I know everyone (or almost everyone) has to do this at some point but it is going to be so hard. Luckily I will only be going back 4 days a week and Jack will be at home with Grandma and Daddy for the other 4 days but it still stinks. I will be cherishing these last 2 weeks home with my boy and I am praying that they go as slow as possible!

Here are some new pictures of Jack. Be prepared though, he is looking less and less like a baby and more like a little boy every day!

Our first family vacation...

and what a great vacation it was=) We left last Friday (9/12) which was jack's 3 month birthday. Can you believe it...3 months??? I know I say it every month but I really can't believe that 3 months have passed already. I have a little less than a month before I go back to work and it makes me so sad to think about leaving him every day! I guess it has to be done right now though =(

So anyway, our trip was great! Jack did so well on the flights going & coming. He slept the whole time on the plane and didn't show signs of take off or landing bothering him at all. What can I say, I guess my boy loves to fly as much as his mommy =) We even got compliments from people telling us that they didn't even know there was a tiny baby like him on the plane.

While we were in FL we decided to take Jack for his first trip to the pool and it looks like we have a little fishy! He loved the pool so much you would have thought he'd been there a million times before. I walked in to the pool holding him and he smiled and giggled the whole time. There were even a few times he was kicking his legs when they were in the water...maybe the next Michael Phelps??? He only got fussy when he was getting tired so we went back to the house and he napped like a champ =)

My mom came to see us on Sunday and it was so nice to have her there. Jack was all dressed in his Giants gear and ready to watch the games (even though we didn't get the Giants down there) and he hung out with Gram on the couch and smiled at her and just was the complete ham he usually is. On Tuesday we drove down to my mom's house and Jack got to meet some of his cousins for the first time and I got to meet one of my nephews for the first time. It was a nice day. And for those of you that know AJ, wait til you see the pictures below and how big he is...it's amazing how he has gone from the baby I would sometimes watch on the weekends and take to work with me to the almost 6yr old that was so happy to see Uncle Joe and steal him to go outside and play with the poppers with him.

Ok, so finally here are some pictures of our trip...enjoy =)

Jack's Baptism

We had Jack's Baptism this past Saturday and it as great! Joe's mom saved his christening outfit and it was in such great shape still that Jack was able to wear it. As long of a day as it was and with all that was going on, Jack was still such a good boy. He slept a little before church and after church and then was able to be happy the rest of the time. Everyone got a little time with him and he just made everyone fall in love with him, he is so good at that!! Luckily the weather held up until we got to the restaurant too. Here are pictures from the day:

Next up we are leaving for FL on Friday and staying til Wednesday. Grandma, Aunt Justine, and cousins AJ & Al will all get to meet Jack for the first time =) Now let's just hope that the hurricanes all go away!

Lions & Tigers & Bears

Such a fun (and exhausting) day! We took Jack to the Bronx Zoo for the first time today and we had such a good time. The weather was beautiful and it was perfect. I don't know how much he actually saw or anything like that but I do know that it was fun for Joe & I to bring him there. My Dad used to bring us there every year when we were little and I remember how much I loved going and how much I looked forward to it. Hopefully we will be able to bring Jack every year now and continue with him what my Dad did with me and hopefully Jack will love it as much as I do. I think it's a great way to start a tradition with Jack and also to bring my dad in to his life =) I will add pictures to my flickr page probably tomorrow. For now it's off to bed for me because I am beat!!!

Jack had his 2 month doctor's appointment yesterday and it involved shots =( He took them like a champ though. The first was an oral shot so he sat on my lap while the doctor put a little in his mouth and he swallowed it right away and then took the rest. The doctor was so surprised at how well he took it, she said usually it takes her about 5 minutes to give that to babies and they try to spit it out. Not Jack, he took it and devoured it all right up. He must have thought she was feeding him and since he never misses a meal he drank it all right up. Next were the actual shots and he was not a happy camper. He had 3 shots to get, 2 in one leg and one in the other. He screamed when she gave them to him but as soon as she was done I gave him his bottle and he was all better =)

Later that night was another story, he cried and it was awful. I held him in my bed and rocked him and cried right along with him. I felt so bad because he was hurting and there really wasn't too much I could do to make it stop. I eventually gave him tylenol and we went to bed and he slept with me all night =)

Ok, now to the better news...our little boy isn't so little anymore! He now weighs 11lbs 5oz and is 22 3/4 inches long! It's ridiculous how big he is getting and how fast! I am so happy he is growing well and everything is good but I would love it if time could stand still for just a little while. If anyone knows how to do this, please share the secret!

This might hurt me more than it will hurt him!

2 months old already...where has the time gone? I feel like I blinked when he was born and time just fast forwarded to now. Jack is getting so big and so fast, I wish I knew the recipe to make time stand still for a little while. He is becoming his own person and really letting his personality show through these days. He has started coo'ing and it's the best thing in the world, next to his smile that is. He lays on his playmat and "talks" to all the things around him on it. His lack of patience when it comes to eating hasn't gotten any better yet, but then again I don't expect it to seeing who his daddy is (and mommy I guess) =)

Today is his 2 month appointment and he is getting shots today. The Dr. said it would be 1 oral shot and 3 shots in his leg. I am dreading this so much and have been apologizing to him all week so far. I know he's a baby and it will possibly hurt for a second and then he'll forget about it but I don't think I'm going to have an easy time with it at all. I can only remember when I went with my sister Nikole to my niece's shots and it was awful. I remember my sister having to hold her still on the table while the nurse gave the shots. Jenna cried, Nik cried & I cried and she wasn't even mine! I will have Joe there with us today so hopefully that will help a lot, but I know I will cry anyway and he'll just make fun of me, lol.

Ok, that's all for now I guess, I will update later with his height & weight from today. For now here is a link to pictures from through out his second month =)

I guess my little boy knew it was mommy's birthday yesterday and so he gave me an early birthday present on Saturday, he gave me a smile to catch on camera =) Here it is:

He loves his playmat!

I decided to take a little video of Jack as he was on his playmat. I tried to get smiles out of him but he's still being a little stingy with them. He doesn't "play" too much but he's still cute on there =)

8 weeks - not 2 months!

I was telling Joe the other day how I couldn't believe Jack was going to be 8 weeks old today (Thursday) and he said "yeah, 2 months" and I said no, 8 weeks. Just like last month I had to explain that 8 weeks does not necessarily mean 2 months because he won't officially be 2 months until next Tuesday (the 12th). Guys just don't get it sometimes I think.

Jack had his very first playdate on Tuesday. We got together with my friend Melissa and her little boy Eddie who will be 1 next month. We had such a good time and I think Jack was just in awe of seeing another baby because this was a first for him. We took the boys to the beach and walked on the boardwalk. It's been a while since I've been to the beach and forgot how much I love to just look out at the ocean. Hopefully we'll be able to bring Jack back there again when he's a little older so he can actually enjoy it.

We have hit a few milestones now too as we get to the 2 month mark. Jack now smiles a lot more and will do so when we play with him which is so cute. He is still a little stingy with them but he's getting better =) Another milestone is he can roll from his belly to his back. I didn't believe it at first and figured it was just a fluke when he did it the first time but since then he has done it about 3 times. I try tummy time with him on his belly on his playmat and he gets so annoyed that he actually is able to get himself on his back and then quickly calms down. He is just getting way too big too fast!

Next Thursday we are going for his 2 month doctors appointment and I'm not really looking forward to it at all. I can't wait to see how much he weighs and how long he is, especially since he feels so hefty these days but I am not looking forward to my poor little guy getting shots for the first time. I can still remember going with my sister Nikole to my niece Jenna's doctor's appointment where she got shots and all 3 of us were in tears. Hopefully Jack won't cry too much, we shall see I guess.

Fighting sleep!!

Maybe it's that he knows we're tired or maybe it's that he know the Yankees started later tonight (they are in TX) and so wants to stay up to see them. Whatever it is Jack fought sleep tonight like it was nobody's business. Joe & I both tried to get him to sleep but he fought it like he was a 2yr old! He is all swaddled up and asleep now, or at least he was when I checked last. Why do babies fight sleep like this? If only they knew just how great it is then maybe they wouldn't fight it like they do. Here's to a good night sleep now...hopefully!

Let's Go Yankees!!!!!!

We have said even before Jack was born that we wanted to take him to his first Yankee game this year because even though he is so young we wanted him to be able to see at least one game at the old stadium and have pictures of himself there before it is gone forever. Thanks to Uncle we were able to take Jack there this past Monday and we had such a good time. It was warm and there was a lot of walking to do (that my post-pregnancy body is not used to yet!) but it was the best! We like to believe that Jack actually watched some of the game too =)

Jack all ready to go!
