Finally...

Ok, so I am a little late (maybe very late at this point) on this post but Baby Itty Bitty is here and she's a GIRL!!!!

Here is a run down of how our Thanksgiving day went:
I woke up at 3am having some cramping and wasn't sure if it was contractions or what so I tried to lay down and relax and see what happened. They continued to come for the next few hours but were far apart enough that I didn't think I was in 'real' labor. When Joe woke up I told him that I wasn't sure I was going to make it through Thanksgiving because I was pretty sure at that point that I was in labor. He got up to bring Jack to the bathroom and asked me to go in Jack's room to get him some underwear and sweats, well as soon as I stood up from the bed and took a step I felt something 'plop' out (for lack of a better description) and when I went to the bathroom I realized it was my mucus plug, something I never lost with Jack so I was a little nervous about it.
The morning went on and contractions continued, sometimes bad, sometimes not and they were anywhere from 2-25 minutes apart and lasted anywhere from 18seconds to 45 seconds. I told Joe that if I could, I wanted to make it through Thanksgiving dinner and enjoy myself with everyone...looking back, this wasn't a great idea at all :o( We went ahead to dinner in the city and contractions got bad during the car ride there but during our stay in the city they seemed to subside a little and weren't nearly as bad. Fast forward to our drive home around 7pm and they got very bad (I now see why 'they' say take a bumpy car ride to induce labor), we got home and I decided I would lay down with Joe & Jack and see what happened, again, not a good idea! I layed down and he contractions got worse, they were coming right on top of each other and were lasted a lot longer. Poor Jack was trying to lay down and hug me and play with my hair and I had to ask Joe to please keep him away, this is the point where I decided enough was enough and it was time to call the after hours dr.'s and the hospital and get over there.
Again, fast forward to when we got to the hospital around 9:15 pm and the dr.'s said I couldn't have a c-section until at least 1am because I had eaten all day, I waned to cry because I was already in such pain and knew there was no way I would be able to make it to 1am. The nurse got me set up in the recovery room and put on the monitors and the dr. came in to check me and almost laughed when she did, I thought maybe I wasn't dilated at all and that this was some cruel joke and false labor. When I asked what happened she said I was already 5cm and definitely should not have waited as long as I did (too late for that!) and proceeded to try and talk me in to having a VBAC which I refused, I never wanted to have a baby vaginally and definitely wasn't going to change my mind now. After about an hour & 1/2 the contractions got so bad that I told Joe that he had to get the nurse and doctor because my body was trying to push this baby out and I couldn't control it which scared the bejesis out of me! The dr. came back and checked me again and in that hour & 1/2 I went from 5cm to 8cm. They then called anesthesia and instead of having to wait til 1am they said I would be able to have a c-section at 11pm (it was not 10:50pm) and I remember just feeling a huge relief and knew I only had to make it a little longer. Joe was given his scrubs to wear and they started to get me ready to go to the operating room.

11pm came and in to the operating room we went. I got the spinal and felt better instantly, even the anesthesiologist said I looked like a whole new person :o) Everything was set to go and they brought Joe in the room. I will never forget looking at him and waiting to hear out baby's cry and all of a sudden there it was along with the dr. saying 'It's a little...girl!' and tears immediately came to not only me but Joe too. Payton Alyssa Farley was born at 11:35pm on Thanksgiving night (November 25) and weighed 6lbs 10oz and 18.5 inches long. She is the sweetest thing ever and watching her in her daddy's arms and being kissed by her big brother is the best thing in the world.

Here are a few pictures of our sweet baby girl in her first few days:

2 WEEKS LEFT!!!!

WHAT? Did I really just say that? I feel like the more I say things about time these days, the faster it goes! Itty Bitty is going to be here before we know it and I am getting more and more excited about it by the day and also more and more nervous about it at the same time.

The excitement is obvious, I've been carrying this baby around inside of me for the past 9 months and have no idea if it is a she or a he and I have no feelings one way or the other either. It has been so much fun to not know, so different than last time when we knew everything except the day he (Jack) was making his appearance. I know it's driving every one else a little crazy but for Joe & I it has been so much fun to just enjoy the pregnancy for what it is. Don't get me wrong, it hasn't been the easiest thing not knowing who this little one is but it has definitely saved us a lot of money right now (haha).

As for big brother Jack, he is super excited. He tells everyone that asks if it's a brother or a sister that he is having a sister, in the past 3 months (at least) he has never wavered and said otherwise. I am wondering if he knows something that we don't, time will tell I guess. I just hope that if it's a brother that he will be ok with that too. I'm sure he will be but I guess that's another thing that time will tell with.

In the meantime, we are finishing up the things we need to do in the house. My amazing husband is still painting the upstairs hallway between our bedroom & the kids room and he's also doing the stairway and main entrance downstairs. My last day of work is next Wednesday and then the week after we are getting our beautiful new bedroom set delivered, I can't wait...here is a sneak pic at it from the website:

Oh, and it's a king size bed which means that we will have enough room for both kiddos, the hubby & me in the bed because you know there will be plenty of those days in the future!

So there you have it folks, now we wait til 12/3, enjoy some turkey, get last minute things done and before we know it we will be a family of 4!

Good 35wk appointment :o)

I went to the Dr. today (as I said I would in yesterday's post) and had a very good 35wk appointment. Doctor thinks baby is head down, which really doesn't make a difference since my scheduled date is already set and this baby will be coming out no other way than a nice little incision :o) The heart rate was good and was actually on the lower side today which I'm told is because the baby isn't as active because the space in there is increasingly getting smaller & smaller. This is something I just can't understand since I feel like I am just getting bigger & bigger, haha.

Any who, we were given some good news today...although we already had our Itty Bitty's arrival date scheduled, we now also have a time of 8am that day...YAY!! The thing that stinks though is that we have to be there at 6:30am which is before Jack wakes up for the day. So the question now is do we wake him before we leave so I can say goodbye or do I let him sleep since it will be a big day for him too? Decisions, decisions! I also now have a pre-op testing date and time too. This is all so real now, I mean it was real all along but now that we are so close I am starting to freak out on the inside a little more but am also crazy excited all at the same time!

Here is a new comparison picture for everyone too to make you think a little more :o)

1 month left!

Well actually it's less than one month now. Yesterday was officially 1 month til our c-section date and tomorrow is exactly 4 weeks until we are holding Itty bitty in our arms. I really can't wait to see who he/she is, I am so ridiculously excited I can't even explain the feeling in words.

Now all the anxiety kicks in too, what do we need, what do we have and what has to wait until we know if Itty Bitty is a baby boy or a baby girl. We already have the 'gender neutral' stuff washed that we had from Jack but honestly it's not all that much. I have a list that I keep adding to of things we need like new bottle nipples (bottles themselves are in great shape still), burp cloths, diapers and things like that and then also a boy & girl list for Joe for when the baby is actually here so he can run out and get things that we will need at home while I am still in the hospital.

I am also having a little anxiety and maybe a little unnecessary mommy guilt about leaving my little man at home. I have never left or been away from him for more than a quick overnight trip that didn't even amount to a full 24 hours so I feel bad. Part of me feels bad because I am afraid he will hate me and think I am abandoning him and part of me is afraid that he will not miss me at all and maybe even not care that I am not there. Then at the same time I am excited for him that he will have Daddy all to himself for a few days and they will have that bonding time together. Joe has already said that he will bring him up to see me when ever I want him too so that is a little comforting, I'm just stressing over it unnecessarily right now I guess.

Tomorrow is another Dr. appt so we'll see how Itty Bitty is doing and then I guess I may possibly start going every week after this. So scary how close the end is but so exciting as well.

Oh, and maybe a new bump picture to add tomorrow :o)

Belly Comparison

I find so often that I have people ask me if I am carrying the same or different than I did with Jack and then also let me know what their thoughts are as to what I am having based on how they see that I am carrying Itty Bitty. Because of this, I created an album on facebook and posted pictures that were around the same time from each pregnancy. Here are the pictures:

Set date & new(ish) bump picture

YAY, so it looks like baby Itty Bitty will be turning our family of 3 in to a family of 4 on Friday 12/3 :o) I am so excited and can't believe that means we have a little less than 7 weeks to go now! I now start going to the dr. every other week which probably means the rest of this pregnancy is going to fly by!
On another note the dreaded 'nesting' bug keeps popping it's ugly head in and out and I constantly feel like I need to get things done and have them done NOW! Unfortunately because I can't lift or move things myself it means I have to wait for help a lot and any one that knows me knows that that is a very hard thing for me to do! We got the new crib mattress during the week and it's all set in the crib with the sheets & all, so now everything just needs to be washed when baby arrives. I am also in the process of re-arranging the living room to make room for baby's things again and wondering how Jack will take it when his stuff gets moved around to make room for a swing and a pack-n-play...hmmm...
So yeah, that's all I really have for now. Make sure you take our baby pool online : http://www.expectnet.com/games/BabyOoooBaby

Harder pregnancy = girl?

I know it sounds like dumb logic but I'm just grasping at straws right now. I had the ideal pregnancy with Jack, was never sick, not even once with him, never had pains or issues that I heard a lot of other people complain about and really just had the 'perfect' text book pregnancy excluding the ridiculous swelling at the end.

This time around is sooo much different! I have sciatic pain that I have never had in my life, pelvic pain that started a couple of weeks ago every once in a while and just seems to be more of a constant thing these days and now I am starting to have a little lower back pain. I also had a few days of nausea this time around as well as one day of actually getting sick. Not to mention the headaches and the lovely stomach virus I had last month.

So with all that said, I am wondering if this pregnancy being harder is just a result of a different way of life that I have now, having a toddler, doing more at home and working part-time or maybe a different gender child is in there and is the cause of all my 'problems'...hmmm...gives me something to think about I guess until this baby makes it's arrival in a measly 8 weeks.

Tomorrow is my dr.'s appointment and then I start to go every 2weeks. Hopefully after tomorrow we will have a set date, so til then :o)

So much going on!

Where do I even start with this post? Maybe I should start by saying that although we have a lot going on, it's all good things and exciting stuff :o) We have been in the process of a mini-move since the second week of August and that in itself has taken up a lot of time but it is so worth it. We share a townhouse with my in-laws and they have graciously changed 'apartments' with us so that we can have more room for ourselves and the new baby. We have re-done what was once Jack's playroom to be his & Itty Bitty's new bedroom and so far so good, he seems to love it. We bought him a Thomas the Train toddler bed, set up the crib, painted the room blue and put his train table in there and I think it's possibly one of his favorite rooms in the house now. Now I know you say why paint the room blue if you don't know what you're having and our answer to that is because the baby will stay with us for at least the first 4-5 months in our room and for Jack there are & will be so many changes, we wanted him to enjoy his own room for a little while and have something that is his, even if not for that long.

As far as changes with Jack, it's amazing! It's like he turned 2 and this switch went off and he lost any signs of being a baby at all and became a little boy, almost over night! It is so fun and so sad all at the same time because I look at him and he will always be my baby no matter what but at the same time he is growing so fast and speaks so much that it's fun to watch. He talks all day long and comes out with things from the clear blue. Some of my favorite expressions of his have to me 'mommy, follow me' (which he says even if he's actually following you, lol), 'do you hear that?' (which he says while holding his hand to his ear) and 'how cool is that?!'. He is always so full of energy and excitement and is becoming more and more my little best friend every day. Having him now be able to talk and pretty much hold a conversation with you is the best. Granted there are days when I wish he wasn't so opinionated and still in the baby stages but honestly, I wouldn't trade this for the world!

For me & the pregnancy, we are now in the final stages and although I can't wait for this little one to come out so we can see if it's a boy or a girl, I'm also a little sad that this is my last pregnancy (we have decided on only 2) and it has gone by so fast. My sister Nikole told me that after your first pregnancy, any others go by fast because you just don't have the time in the second pregnancy to worry about every little thing like you did in the first and she was right. I feel like the 2nd trimester just flew by as if it didn't even happen and here we are now. I am 30wks 4d today and if all goes well at Friday's doctor's appointment we will get our official scheduled date for the c-section and will only have 8 weeks to go. 8 WEEKS..I mean really, that's just crazy! I feel like all of a sudden we have so much to do and get done before the baby is here. I would love to get Christmas shopping done before I go to the hospital so that it's one less thing I have to worry about once we are home with the new baby. I would also love to buy a few new things for baby but that seems silly to me to just buy things now when we don't know if Itty Bitty is a boy or a girl. We do have a few necessities to buy (bottle nipples, bibs, burp cloths, diapers, etc.) but that is also stuff that Joe can take Jack shopping to get while I am in the hospital.

I must say that I am so extremely excited about all that is going on but then again scared by it all too. I just hope that my excitement will keep my scared feelings away for a while longer, we shall see I guess :o)

Letter to baby...

Dear Baby,

Why do you insist on making movements the last couple of days that either make me stop dead in my tracks or make me flinch in pain because your movements are so sharp and hard? I know I have a very short torso so maybe there's not as much room as you would like in there but give mommy a break, you are actually hurting me from the inside. Your brother didn't do that til later on in the pregnancy, maybe you are just bigger than he was? Whatever the case is, please know that I do love to feel you move but do not like painful movements, it's not fun or cute. Let's stick to the nice little movements & kicks for now...k? thanks :o)

Love,

Mommy xoxo

24 weeks!!!!

Ok, so who ever said that the second time goes by so much faster was ABSOLUTELY correct. How in the world am I 6 months pregnant already???? I can't believe that in a measly 15 weeks we will be meeting this little peanut that has been having kick boxing class inside me at all times of the day now.

Since we chose not to find out this time around it's been fun to see people's reaction to our decision and also their opinions. Ok, well not fun all the time though. It's amazing to me how people see someone who is pregnant and all of a sudden they feel like it is their right to disregard any kind of filter they would have with any other person that is not pregnant and just say what ever they want right to your face. When I was pregnant with Jack of course I got all the 'wow, you're so big' and 'you look like you're ready to pop' earlier on than I had expected but this time around people are really pushing it. Here are some of my recent favorites:

-'You're due soon, huh?'...UHHH, nope, still have 15 wks to go jerk face, I'm just 4'nothing and this baby has no where else to go...but thanks for that!!

- 'I'm thinking girl but your face hasn't changed yet so we'll see'... oh ok, so thanks for telling me I haven't gotten ugly yet but that you're waiting for it!

- 'Is it twins?'...this should NEVER be asked, I mean really, come on now!

- 'Look at you, you're getting bigger'....hmmm, I thought when you grow a human being inside your own body you are SUPPOSED to get bigger...maybe I am wrong though. What is wrong with people???

Ok, the vents are over now and on to happier more fun stuff. Last Tuesday (on my 30th birthday) I had a dr.'s appt and found out that not only did I only gain 2lbs in the last month (yay me!) but I was going for another sonogram because at the anatomy scan they did not get the baby's profile pictures that they needed because of the position of the baby. It was such a great present to be able to see baby itty bitty again :o) Here are a few pictures we have from that day and hopefully I will take a new picture of my belly tomorrow since the hubby will be home to take it for me :o)

'It's a girl, she's afraid of her dad'...

yep, those were Joe's words when he kept putting his hand on my belly when I would tell him that the baby was moving. All of a sudden the baby would stop and he said 'It's a girl, she's afraid of her dad so she stops moving', lol. He keeps saying these days reasons he thinks it's a girl, that was one of them and the other is because he says I'm not as nice this time around as I was when I was pregnant with Jack, haha.

Well last night one of his theories were proven wrong. We were laying in bed watching TV and baby Peanut was moving all over the place. I told him to put his hand there and just leave it and sure enough the baby let him know that it was there, first with a few light kicks and then with a couple more swift ones. Yep, baby is either a girl saying "I'm not afraid of you, just gonna make you work a little harder', lol or it is a boy and was telling daddy 'who are you calling a girl?', lol, either way this little one finally let daddy feel it and I am so happy. I love to see the look on his face when he gets to feel the baby for the first time :o)

On another note, I am now 21wks 2 days pregnant and we have 18 weeks left to go since I will be having a scheduled c-section probably the first week of December. I can't believe we have more days past then we have coming already! Before we know it summer will be over, Halloween will be a thing of the past and Baby Peanut will be around the corner, oh, I can't wait to meet this little one and see who this wiggly worm inside is :o)

18wks...almost 1/2 way there!!!

So crazy, I feel like this pregnancy is going so fast. I was told in the past that second pregnancies always seem to go faster because you just don't have the time to sit and think about every little thing or worry about everything the way you did with the first and so far that is so true. There are a whole new set of things to think about and worry about though but I'll save those for another post another day.

So here we are, I have my next Dr.'s appt this Friday (19wks1d) and then next Friday is our BIG sonogram where we can find out the sex of the baby but we won't be. This is going to take a lot of will power but I'm very excited about it and waiting til the baby is here to see if it's a he/she.

Here is my latest picture. My body is still small but my belly is slowly taking over all of me! See for yourselves:

'til next time...

Always Loved, Never Forgotten...

4 years ago today I was woken up by my mom on her couch in Florida and heard the words 'he's gone!'. Being that I had just woken up from a big 2.5 hours of sleep it took me a minute to realize what it was that she was saying. He's gone? Where did he go? And then I realized she was saying what my biggest fear was, my Dad had passed away. In the matter of seconds my world crumbled around me.
I am admittedly a very big Daddy's girl and to think that I wouldn't have him there anymore to talk to or anything crushed me. How could this happen? How could the very first man I loved, my very best friend, the person I told absolutely everything to be gone? It took me a couple of minutes and going in their room to see the truth for myself before I called Joe from a curled up position on my mom's kitchen floor. I couldn't even get the words out, I didn't want to, I felt like if I said it then it would definitely be true and I didn't want that, I wanted to think this was all a bad dream...but it wasn't :o(
I guess the grown up in me is happy that he did not suffer long and can live with saying that my babies have the best guardian angel ever up in Heaven watching down on them and keeping them safe. The other part of me though, the little girl inside, wants to kick and scream and say how unfair it is that I no longer have my daddy here. How is it that he had to pass 4 months before my wedding and never get to walk me down the aisle? How is it that he got to see both of my sister's first born (and even one of their seconds) and not mine? How cruel is this world that would take a man so amazing away from his family that loved him so much? Unfortunately though all that thinking will not bring him back.
He was my best friend, my 'person' - you know the one person that everyone has that they can tell just about anything to? That was him to me. He was an amazing man, a wonderful husband and an even better dad. Not a day goes by that he doesn't pass through my head at some point or another. I would give just about anything to have him back for one more day. To hear his 'bad' jokes or to see his smile.

7~11~06...gone too soon...love you forever Daddy-o!!!!

Summer Already!!

I can't believe it's just about July! We have gotten through the big 2nd birthday & party and we are cruising right in to the summer. Jack has been loving the few trips we have taken to the pool (in our complex) already and I can just tell he is going to be part fish by the end of the summer.

As far as I go, we are now almost 17wks pregnant and I can't believe it...how did 4 months pass so quickly?? Next thing you know the summer will be over and I'll be 6 months and will be in denial that the time will almost be here. We have a busy summer ahead of us too that involves a mini-move, painting, decorating and of course potty training which should be quite interesting!

I plan on taking a new picture this week to compare to the belly picture with Jack but for now here is a picture of me from last week, 15w6d...Holy Belly!!!

My boy is 2!!!!

How did this happen? Where did the time go? We had his cake this weekend and when the '2' candle was lit and he was getting ready to blow it out I just wanted to cry. There are just about no traces of a baby left in him anymore and he's a full on boy now, bruises on the legs, scraps on the knees, playing with cars, trucks & trains kinda boy!

I can't believe that 2yrs ago I was wondering when this little boy would make his appearance, would he be early, late, on time? I was wondering how in the world I would love this little person as much as people say they do when they first see their little ones. I was wondering if I would be good as a mommy and if I would ever live up to the standards I have put upon myself as a mom. Now, 2 years later I think I fall more & more in love with this little boy every day. He brightens my world, makes me complete and just amazes me every day that I see his little eyes open up and look at me in the morning. It has been the best experience of my life to be a mommy to him, he makes my 'job' so easy and makes every second of life so much more worth living!

We celebrated his birthday this weekend by going to the Jersey Shore and hanging out on the boardwalk all day with daddy, grandma & grandpa and had such a good time. The weather wound up being beautiful and we were able to eat a lot of junk and just have a good time all together.

This coming weekend is his official 2nd birthday party and I can't wait. He has little friends & cousin coming, family & some family friends too. We decided on a park this year and I think as long as the weather hold out it will be a blast! Stay tuned as I'm sure there will be a ton of pictures to follow :o)

Need a new blog title now...

As most of the world knows at this point, it's not 'Just the 3 of Us' anymore, we are expecting our second child and are so happy & excited :o)

Jack will be just about 2.5 yrs old when this baby is born and I am trying to get him to understand that there will be a baby but at this point he understands what a baby is, sometimes touches my belly and kisses 'the baby' but most times he has no clue and continues on with whatever he is doing. I think he is going to be a great big brother and I can't wait to see him in that role at the end of the year!

So, now that it won't be just the 3 of us anymore I think the new blog could use a new title and I am very open to suggestions :o) Please leave comments with anything cute & clever you can think of!

Wish List Wednesday

Can't believe it's been a week since I last posted already. Ok, so here are my wishes this week...may seem silly to some but I don't think they are:

A little FL getaway with my boys!! I think we could really use a little down time but unfortunately right now that won't be happening for a while but that's what a wish list is for right?
A nice golf getaway for my amazing hubby. He truly is the best man I know and I think he deserves this plus a million other things more than anyone out there.

And this is the cutest/coolest thing that I would like for Jack right now. He loves thinking that he is helping everyone and I think he would relaly get a kick out of this:

Wish List Wednesday

Ok, I've seen this done on many other blogs around, mainly this fellow Bumpie and figured I would play along. Here is my wishlist...there aren't many things that I really want these days but if I could wish for them, this is what they would be:

A new Macbook, preferably the MacBook Air, it's so light and just smooth looking. Our current MacBook needs a new hard drive and even though we don't have the money for a new one and it's cheaper to just replace the hard drive than buy a whole new computer, one can dream right:

Another thing I would love, but wouldn't everyone, is a money tree, a real one, one that grows actual money off of it without a limit:

and lastly for now I guess I would love a new camera, there is nothing wrong with mine and I honestly do love it, it's easy to use and small but I do love the Nikon's and would love love love me a Nikon D60:

So...there you have it, all my wants for right now...what are yours?

Jaime

Coupons, Coupons, Coupons

Ok, so one of our resolutions this year, I'm sure just like a lot of people, is to try and save as much money as we possibly can! I am starting where we spend a big chunk of money and that is groceries! I am hoping to get as much help from every one as I can so here is where you all come in...if you can please leave a comment here and let me know what is your favorite and most useful coupon site to get coupons you can print off line and any other tidbits that would be great! I look forward to reading what everyone has to say!!

Choo Choo, Choo Choo!!!

This is what I hear most of the day that I am home with Jack. He has acquired this new obsession with Thomas the Train, or actually any kind of train or car really, but he is showing a big preference for Thomas these days. For Christmas we...I mean Santa...got him some Geo Trax that are trains and train tracks, a few Thomas trains that either go with batteries or are just for him to push around on his own and also some dvd's. Well...now the dvd's have become a bit of an obsession! Jack will now take the dvd case bring it to you, point to the TV and say Choo Choo, chugga chugga, Choo Choo until you give in and put the dvd on. If you are lucky you might get to divert his attention to something else for a little but but usually he is pretty determined to have the dvd played! So, we now have a dvd in the player upstairs and downstairs just so that it's ready to go when his majesty (haha) requests it!

I thought i had a while before he was old enough to have a character preference/obsession but I guess not. I guess I need to start looking in to Thomas Live or something like that! Here are a few more pictures to go along with this post:

Our Year in Review

2009 was quite the year, we reached many many new milestones with Jack, experienced the world in a whole new light through his eyes and just really enjoyed watching him become the toddler that he now is (how did that happen by the way?!?!?!). The year itself had it's ups and downs and we have all grown and learned from all of that has happened.

Here are a few pictures to review our year:
January - Our first pictures of 2009:
Jack turned 7 months old & met curious george for the first time :o) -
February brought us Jack's first Valentine's day, turning 8 months & meeting his Great Great Aunt Anna:

In March we tried Gymboree for the first time, Jack wasn't a huge fan, we also went in a swing at the park for the first time and that was a hit! My friend Kelly also came up from TX and we got to meet up & have our boys meet each other, it was so much fun!

In April we introduced Jack to Grandma & Grandpa's new puppy and they are now BFF's :o) We also had Jack's 1st Easter, a Yankee game, tough guy faces in the boogey down bronx!
May was another good month, we started 'walking' (with the help of toys & furniture mostly), became part of a band (well Uncle's band let him use their tambourine a little), had more play dates with Jack's BFF Matthew, and just enjoyed the nice weather:

Finally June came around and Jack turned the big 1. We celebrated at home the day of and then had his 1st birthday party the next day. We also got to take him for his very first haircut:

In July we took Jack on his second trip to FL. We had a great time, relaxed, played at the pool and Jack got to meet some of his cousins again :o)
August was full of fun, we had our first playdate with a girl!, a trip to the zoo in NJ with Cindy & Matthew & cousin Ryan's Christening:September was a rough month, we started it off by Jack falling on labor day weekend and knocking out most of one of his front teeth and then having the rest of it removed. I think, well I know, I was more shaken up about all of it than he was but luckily after all was said and done he was back to his regular self. More pay dates with Matthew were even had, the boys have so much fun together!
Joe turned the big 3-0 in October and we headed back down to FL to celebrate. We took Jack to see the Yankees play Tampa Bay in Tampa and even though the Yanks lost we had a great time! Jack also got to see his Gram again and his cousins, it was a fun trip. Oh, let's not forget that Joe & I had a great night out at the Yankees ALCS game 6 where they won to bring themselves to the World Series!!!

We started the Holiday season off in November with Thanksgiving with family which is where we started to see Jack's 'stranger anxiety' come in to play where it never really showed before. It took him a little while but he warmed up and had a great time! We also learned this month that he is a big fan of Frito's corn chips just like momma :o)

Last but certainly not least we bring you to December. Jack got to meet Santa, had his pictures taken with mommy, daddy & his cousin Ryan too. We also had 2 snow storms so Jack has gotten to play out in the snow with Grandpa and his buddy Cosmo. Ohhh...Jack also turned 18 months this month, Santa brought him lots of presents and he even got to spend some of Christmas day (well night actually) with his BFF Matthew :o)

So that was our year, long post I know, but a lot went on and we had a good year (for the most part). Here's to a happy & healthy 2010 :o)
